Open Text has finally begun to integrate its stable of document management enhancement
products with its eDocs (Hummingbird) document management products. Specifically, LiveLink BPM (Business Process Management) is now available to make eDocs DM and eDocs RM an even more powerful content management system. Built upon industry standards for data transactions, like SOAP, XML, and JAVA, LiveLink BPM allows users to create customized workflows that fit their specific business needs. A notable feature of LiveLink BPM is the user interface is delivered by a web browser. So, changes and upgrades happen without bothering the end user’s productivity. Other features include:
- eDocs DM Triggers – Start a new workflow by creating, importing, or saving a new document.
- Full User Integration – Control access and responsibilities by department, role, team, or user.
- Ad Hoc Process Creation – When your custom workflows don’t cover a specific need, a user can simply create their own custom workflow on the fly.
We have started installing this product in the Midwest and West Coast. Check back here for updates on how these companies end up utilizing this powerful product.
